the heart center, or heart chakra is the point where lower energy centers transfer into the higher energy centers. there are three higher chakras and three lower chakras, with the heart in the middle. it is always good to be connected with the heart as well as third eye when working with the other chakras. this is why many yogic traditions start with the third eye, then move to the root second.
